you can do it.

Trust me, if I can do it, so can you. I make more mistakes so you don’t have to.

SPRAY FOAM Tips

  • Prep your area like a mad man until everything is protected from the stickiest substance known to mankind.

  • Make sure your cylinders are warmer than 75 Fahrenheit for best performance. Give them a hot bath and or keep them warm in a heated box like I did.

  • Get proper protection for lungs, eyes, and body. Tyvek suit, vented goggles, fume respirator.

  • Use packing tape to cover eye protection so you can peel it off to keep it clean during use.

  • Don’t panic, but make sure you are moving efficiently since the product hardens in the spray gun nozzles very quickly. I went too fast at first and didn’t apply enough spray foam, but it’s better than going too slow.

  • Think about which areas you want to cover first and have a game plan since the hoses are only 15 feet in length and you don’t want to stop too many times due to the limited number of spray foam gun nozzles.

  • Remember, doing DIY spray foam saves you a little money, not a tonne in my experience, so if you are not super concerned about budget, get a quote to see what a professional would charge.
