SPRAY FOAM Tips
Prep your area like a mad man until everything is protected from the stickiest substance known to mankind.
Make sure your cylinders are warmer than 75 Fahrenheit for best performance. Give them a hot bath and or keep them warm in a heated box like I did.
Get proper protection for lungs, eyes, and body. Tyvek suit, vented goggles, fume respirator.
Use packing tape to cover eye protection so you can peel it off to keep it clean during use.
Don’t panic, but make sure you are moving efficiently since the product hardens in the spray gun nozzles very quickly. I went too fast at first and didn’t apply enough spray foam, but it’s better than going too slow.
Think about which areas you want to cover first and have a game plan since the hoses are only 15 feet in length and you don’t want to stop too many times due to the limited number of spray foam gun nozzles.
Remember, doing DIY spray foam saves you a little money, not a tonne in my experience, so if you are not super concerned about budget, get a quote to see what a professional would charge.
